本作品充分展現長號演奏滑音的特殊演奏技法，彷彿一個滑稽的角色經常充滿歡愉的笑聲，中間插入一個轉調段落，以歌唱性的旋律展現長號莊嚴而輝煌的音色，旋即轉回主題再現，彷彿一個幽默的人故作鎮定，又轉為笑口常開的兩相對比，十分有趣。
本作品包含長號獨奏、二重奏，並可依獨奏者程度自由選用一級或二級版本演奏，樂譜包含管樂團與鋼琴伴奏譜（鋼琴伴奏譜可單獨購買），具有高度演奏彈性，增進長號初學者的學習動機與成就感。
The slide method of trombone is fully developed in the piece. The notes slide as if a comical character laughs. The modulated interlude reveals the warm and solemn face of trombone. The theme reappears as if the character put a brave face, then showed his joyful mood. The solo, duet, and trio with Grade 1 and 2 version can be chosen depends on the level of players. It provides flexibility for the performance, increasing the learning motivation and the sense of achievement for beginners.
