《太陽出來喜洋洋》是作曲家金鼓1942年的作品，樂曲根據民間小調進行改編填詞。歌詞以打柴人一職作為第一人稱敘述，描述出打柴生活愉悅自得的心情，顯露出山中生活的趣味；最初由上海音樂學院聲樂教授蔡紹序所歌唱錄製。此版本由日本作曲家波田野直彥改編為靈活編制演奏，以五個聲部加上打擊樂器，使各種人數、類型之器樂合奏形式，皆能發揮本作品之最佳演奏效果；序奏從迴盪在山谷間的悠揚樂聲開始，逐漸堆疊並加速，直到打擊樂加入充滿動感而靈巧的節奏，帶入樂曲歡愉而雋永的氣氛。
 
Happy Sunrise is composed by Gu Jing in 1942. The composition notion is originated from Sichuan folk tune. The lyric describes the life of a wood chopper, portraying the joy mood of working, revealing the amusing life in the mountain. It was first recorded by tenor Shao-Hsu Tsai, professor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The arrangement with 5 parts and percussion instruments is made by Japanese composer Hiko Hatano, which can be played by various numbers of players and instrumentation. The slow passage of introduction brought out the mysterious atmosphere, as if in the valley. Then the instrumentation thickened gradually with the acceleration of tempo. Through the vivid rhythm of percussion, the merriness is brought into the music.
